On this composite picture, derived from information collected by the Jovian Infrared Auroral Mapper (JIRAM) instrument aboard NASA’s Juno mission to Jupiter, exhibits the central cyclone on the planet’s north pole and the eight cyclones that encircle it. JIRAM collects information in infrared, and the colours on this composite signify radiant warmth: the yellow (thinner) clouds are about 9 levels Fahrenheit (-13° Celsius) in brightness temperature and the darkish crimson (thickest) are round -181 levels Fahrenheit (-118.33° Celsius).
